My mother would have said something similar. And my older brother would have suggested we do what the kid in the photo is doing. That we survived childhood is miraculous.
We used to go down our hardwood stairs on our pillows — like sledding down a hill. It would keep us occupied for hours. What a thrill. Like someone said, nowadays a kid would have to wear a helmet. They’ve taken all the fun out of childhood. 😦
