So tragic, both her life and death. But I am curious, how did your nine year-old find her? How was she introduced?

Guilty! I’m a fan of old movies, and she was sat with me watching Gentlemen Prefer Blondes which she has since watched several times. And last year we were lucky enough to catch Some Like It Hot on the big screen for an anniversary showing, and Monroe was cemented as her favourite actress.

Yes that’s a bonus 🙂 Every year, on what would have been my Dad’s birthday, I make a point of watching a John Wayne film as that’s what I did with him when I was a kid. I’m just thankful he wasn’t a soap opera fan 🙂
