I was in there recently having a coffee, when a woman came in and picked one up. I felt so awkward-for she didn’t know I was the author of the book and she may have started slagging it off! Luckily she bought it 🙂
I like to think of her calling in for a coffee, maybe picking up a copy to flick through. After thirty years she probably wouldn’t recognise the name or the photograph of the author and never realise her connection. Actually, that’s quite sad. Scrap that-I hopeI find her! 🙂
Ah, what a nice sight 🙂
I hope they’ll run out of stock in no time.

You never know with teachers. It is very likely she remembers you. If she was special to you, it was probably the other way around too.
