My plan was to walk the kids to school, pick a few things up in the town centre and then come home and do the second draft of a chapter. Instead I stayed in the centre a few hours drinking coffee. I wrote the core of a poem whilst down there so that was okay 😉
Oh I know. The best ideas comes at a time when you don’t really have time to take care of them. I keep pencil and paper near. Ive learned to write the ideas down when they come. They are gone when I wake up otherwise.

That sounds like a pretty awesome day! I got some new fig trees, and grape wines added to my garden. It was, is, a good day 🙂

It is almost as when you can’t sleep because of all writing thoughts running through your mind when you should be asleep. Totally out of sync.

Inspiration often comes in the middle of the night too. A few times Jen will wake to find my phone lit up. “What are you doing?” “Making notes!”
