I love this photo by Arthur Leipzig of children looking at Christmas toys in 1944. The little girl at the bottom looks like she just can’t stand the allure, I think I’d have to buy her something.

Okay, so now I have to rank these – “Mancunian Mamma” sounds quite British upper crust, “from Mamchester” can be taken at least two ways: a- as in Ma’amchester a kindof polite reference and b- a bit obscene, I leave it to the imagination and then my very favorite..”Mamma Manc”! I claim that! HA! (son-in-law is beginning to call me Mamma Laura so this really hit the target!)
