Tribute Video To Carrie Fisher

On the same day that I saw the first trailer for the new Star Wars movie, due out in December, I saw this great tribute to the late Carrie Fisher. It shows just what a funny and feisty woman she was.

Thought I’d share it with you guys.

Pain Is Love

I woke this morning to the news that Debbie Reynolds had died, just one day after Carrie Fisher. The strain must have been just too much for the aged star. “She’s now with Carrie and we’re all heartbroken,” said her son, Todd Fisher. “She said, ‘I want to be with Carrie’, and then she was gone.”

Debbie wanting to be with her daughter is a nice thought, but what a time their family must be going through. On hearing the news, the lyrics of Ja Rule came to mind:

If pain is truly love,

for my family I die.

R.I.P both mother&daughter.

The Young Princess And Her Boys

I love these fun photographs, taken from Carrie Fisher’s private collection. Yes, she let me have a sneak look.

From around the time of filming the first movie in the franchise, I guess it would have been around ’75/76. Next time I grab a coffee with Carrie I will ask her. She’s pretty clean this days. Doesn’t have sugar, and doesn’t take milk.

Yes: she has gone over to the Dark Side.
