The view is trussed and set ablaze

Before being snuffed out in shadow.

A friend took this photograph of the sunset over Manchester from a railway bridge in Collyhurst. It’s a fantastic shot which I think deserves to be shared. Evening descending with an apocalyptic threat.

So seldom sun, burning away the slate grey skies.

Calling people out from the catacombs

like unreasoning moths to a flame.

Last night’s sunset, taken from Collyhurst, looking towards West Manchester and Salford.
