It was a weekly publication in my home city of Manchester between 1875 and 1880. My PC isn’t working at the moment so I can’t share the link, but if you search at the top of this page ‘Why City Jackdaw?’-that was my very first post on this blog, telling how I came to use this title for my blog.
I like connections-writing, the history of the place I live in. Since that very first post, I have incorporated a regular theme ‘Claws For The Weekend’ which you may have seen. The original 19th Century publication had a ‘Claws of the Week’. Again-connections 🙂
Now that’s just awesome!
